  6. Confessions. A japanese film directed by Tetsuya Nakashima. It's a great genre film. I've read the confessions book before and its really a great story.
  7. I love 07th expansion's anime series. うみねこのなく頃に (uminekonakukoroni) and ひぐらしのなく頃に (hikirashinonakukoroni) are great. They're both from his When They Cry series. 未来日記(mirai hiki) and chaos head are recently my favourite. Btw, kyoto animation's work is famous for its cute characters. Try k-on and 花咲いろば.
  8. try skye sweetnam, joyce jonathan and alexandra stan
  9. Just a chinese teenager, and still learning english. I started to read english books since kindergarten, and i truly hope it will become a lifetime habit. Ii'm a britney spears fan and a lady gaga fan. I read chick lit most of time since it's a light read for non-native speakers like me.

  10. I don't know if hegel's the philosophy of history is considered philosophy, but it's the book i lately finished. It's a bit hard for me, and i didn't understand it very well. There is the famous sophie's world for people who don't know very much about philosophy, like me. It's a great history of philosophy ,at least for me. even teens can understand it. besides i highly recommend you the ancient chinese's philosophy works. Try confucious, mencious, laocious and chuangcious. Believe me, you won't be dissappointed. Wow, i see many people recommending sophie's world, i'm glad that many people like it.
  11. I enjoyed a gabrielle chanel biography, and a audrey hepburn biography as well. Actually It's the glamourous pictures inside that acttracts me. I'm now working on anna fraser's marie antoinette: the journey, and it's very well wirtten. It changes many stereotype of the french queen of mine.

    Non Fiction

I'm now reading a biography of marie antoinette after watching the movie based on it. the next book on my list is yutang lin's my country and my people.
  13. I enjoyed dan brown's angel amd demon ,and i bought all his works. To my disappointment, the digital castle really sucks, and i didn't even finish a half of it. The lost symbol wasn't good either. Hearing that the da vinci code is very much like the angel and demon, i gave up reading it. There're really isn't much plot in his works, i love angel and demon, but i'm definitely not a fan lf dan brown. I don't think i'll give a try to his new work.
  14. i love every book written by東野圭吾 and 凑かなえ,two japaneses writers, and i strongly recommend you their works,if you can find the english translated versions. I'm reading steven king's works as well, they're great, but i think i prefer the movies.
  15. I'm halfway through the book, and i truly adore the heroine. She is such a sassy creature. I will try nabokov's other works after finishing lolita. Although my tutor doesn't recommend me reading lolita, for i'm a teenager.
  16. I have a friend who loves japanese animations and those really shallow mary sue novels(as well as creating mary sue novels herself) , and is a justin bieber fan and loves k pop, so it seems rather weird for me when i discovered she is also a lover of the classics. You see, everyone around you can be reading the classics.
  17. I started the book earlier this year, and i'm so glad that i've finished 11 chapters so far. I haven't continue reading for a while, i guess i can finish it in 2014. I have to complain that there're way too many notes there so i just ignore them. And i definitely don't think i can completely understand what it's talking about .
  18. Breakfast ant tiffany's by truman capote The wind in the willows by kenneth grahame One hundred years of solitude by gabriel garcia marquez These are definitely my tip three fave. The wind in the willows is the first classic novel i've read when i was a little kid. Btw i love whilde's short stories though i read the simplyfied versions. As a chinese, i don't read much classics in english a lot, for they may be too difficult for me, and i mainly read chick lits. Now i'm reading vladimer nabokov's lolita and i'm already half way through it. It's great. And the next book on my classics to read list is phantom in the opera which my bff recommended me. There're other classics book i love but they're in chinese, or else i'd love to post them up here.
  19. I've bought sophie kinsella's mini shopaholic recently. Since this is the first kinsella work i've bought so far,i hope it will be a great read.
