Wow, that's one long and detailed review ! It's on my TBR, I've been wanting to read it ever since I was little, hopefully I'll get around to it some day (the last few experiences I had with classics weren't so great though so..).
I quite liked The Good Father, though I understand you'll wnat to get through some other books too. I usually prefer it to read a variety of books and not to read all of the same kinds for a period, I like it mix it up a bit. I hope you enjoy your next read too .
I stepped into a sharp pin this morning with my bare foot, no idea where it came from but I can't stand on my foot yet . The pain is slowly fading away though so that's good!
Glad it's getting better Athena. I stood on a darning needle when i was a kid & had to go for a tetanus jab so you have my sympathy as i know how it feels X
Great review ! I'm glad you liked it. I've read and loved several Diane Chamberlain books and it sounds like I'll really enjoy The Bay at Midnight too (it's on the TBR).
x
I'm glad you have done so now. Thanks so much for your comments ! I hope you like Peter V. Brett's books. Thank you Laura, I hope it'll be a great year for you too!
Some lovely photos in here of all your pets !
Here's a recent photo of Pamuk:
And here's a recent photo of Boris:
They are doing well. Boris's toe doesn't seem to bother him as much anymore. He likes to chew up the old paper and often manages to find just that bit that's been recently added to the pile. Pamuk is such a sweetie and often sits next to me when I sit on the sofa. Boris and Pamuk such nice dogs .
@ Anna Begins
Are they two males? Two males together doesn't always go well, though sometimes it can. We used to have 15+ guinea pigs at one point (in different areas), they're nice animals imo. I hope you enjoy yours .

I wish you lots of fun, Laura !
My brother is coming back in a few days after he's had a long vacation with his girlfriend in Chili (she was doing courses at the university there, she studies Spanish in the Netherlands). It should be good to see him again and talk with him.
EDIT: Though I'm also a bit stressed and nervous about it.
It sounds interesting, though it's a shame it wasn't what you thought it was (stupid translated title.. I don't understand sometimes why translators change a title so drastically that it just doesn't mean the same anymore). I'm glad you enjoyed the book though, nice review .
I hope you'll have a great reading year in 2014 . We have a few the same books on our TBR, but I haven't yet read anything that's on your TBR, so I couldn't recommend a particular book just yet.
I'm just over half way through in Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson - The Wheel of Time 14: A Memory of Light and about a third or so of the way through Holly Smale - Geek Girl 1: Geek Girl.
I have my books on my Kindle organised into collections, they are based on genre so ie. contemporary fiction or fantasy. It helps though of course you might still have to scroll a little while for certain books, depending on their genre.
Woohoo for more fantasy! I'm glad you enjoyed this book. I didn't read all of your review because of the spoilers. As always though I think your review was well constructed .
