Good question Sue. Bits of Paul Theroux`s personality, as espoused by him in his works, make me think of an arrogant individual who just ridicules everything. Then you see something in his book that makes you laugh, and you think yes the guy`s alright after all. I am unsure if I would get on with him, and he is arrogant, but I find his books highly readable I must say.
