So far I have asked for The Vampire's seduction - Raven Hart Essential Tales - Anton Chekhov Marley and Me - John Grogan The 5 people you meet in heaven _ Mitch Albom And there are more on my list for when other people ask what I want... Including Dear Fatty - Dawn French Beyond Ugly - Constance Briscoe To be fair, this is a xmas and birthday list - I was a December baby

frankie
My list includes Sharyn McCrumb: Bimbos of the Death Sun Garth Stein: The Art of Racing in the Rain Sebastian Fitzek: Therapy John Grogan: Marley and Me Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time I probably won't be getting any of these because my mother refuses to be Internet-literate and order these online from places where they are actually available (my parents live in a small town with no bookstores, just a very small, stupid and expensive selection of books in a food market). Also I think that my BF might not afford any of these, being student and all. I'll have to be my own Santa I think

Ben Mines
The Complete OED would be nice. Or the hardback version of Joscelyn Godwin's translation of the Renaissance incunabulum Hypnerotomachia Poliphili.
jenmck
"Simply Sexual" by Kate Pearce. I was lucky enough to win a signed copy of one of the series "Simply Sinful" and LOVED it. "The Sacred Six Stones" by Matthew Reilly "Carnal Desires" by Crystal Jordan "The Black Dove" by Steve Hockensmith And a ton of others. My Amazon wish list is huge too. I just got a book for research on the Mesoamerican culture and history. Kind of a Christmas present to me.

Icecream
I've emailed my wishlist to my Mum. She rarely checks it though, but she did say she would look. I'm not hopeful though. I told her I wanted the Dark Materials trilogy. She went to Preston couple of days later (with my sister who was in the room when I said it) and went into Waterstones but couldn't remember what I had said. Either that or she did get it. Mum has a strange habit of telling us, in not so many words, what we have got for christmas. I also have various books that have gone on my want list this year, including Dawn French's book, The Forgotten Garden, a western, and others. I really want Hans Urs Von Balthasars collection of four books entitled theo logic, but haven't asked for those yet.

Janet
My Amazon wishlist is slightly out of control at 147 items. I haven't sent it to anyone in my family though so I'm unlikely to get anything off it! I think I may get Stephen Fry in America from my Mum and Dad but hubby is unlikely to buy me a book - although hopefully he picked up on my 'Mr B's Emporium' hint! Thanks Louiseog, that's really nice of you I've already read Marley and me though and I wish to own it myself because I think I'll be rereading it many times so I guess borrowing is out of the question
