I'm over two thirds of the way through, so should get it finished tomorrow. For the most part I'm really enjoying it too. If you disagree, feel free to move it back but I thought this is what you meant to do as it didn't make any sense to me in the other thread. Athena Posted May 19, 2016 Share Posted May 19, 2016 I'm still reading Terry Brooks - Original Shannara Trilogy 1: The Sword of Shannara. It's enjoyable, but it is a bit slow paced sometimes so I don't feel like I'm making much progress compared with reading time (this bothers me! The omnibus pages are so huge and it's awkward to hold). I also feel it's a bit too similar to The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, at times. The plot twists are good for the most part though. That said, I had £15 of birthday money left so thought I would see what I could find in the charity shops in town! I'm not too much into WWII fiction, but I must thank you for The Girl in the Blue Coat! I picked it up and am really liking it so far. I have a special place in my heart for Amsterdam. Have you read The Girl From Krakow? One of my favorites of the year!
