I'm not entirely sure about the formulas, there seem to be a few errors in them. There is no second ')' in the first formula, and I'm thinking the 'f' in the second formula appearing twice, can't be right. I think the 'f' preceding the ' [ ] ' brackets seems to be meaning 'function' rather than 'female', that would make more sense to me at least.
