  5. Nick B, it IS similar but not quite, the clip i saw, i think he was at a library, while he witters on about why Tom Cruise was good, he also states "I am contractually obligated not to slag off the film". After he said that it didn't matter what he said, the good things he was saying about the film felt false seeing he felt the need to say he isn't allowed to slag it off
  6. I agree, he has the sort of attitide that could make you believe he was going to take out 5 guys and win
  7. And I can't find the link on youtube to the interview where he says it!!
  8. Ahh Mr Child is contractually obligated NOT to slag off the film
  9. That made me laugh too Raven. I work with a girl who said that anyone who disliked 50 shades of gray must be a prude in need of a good........ Well I am neither (sorry TMI), and I just found the book (the small part I read) incredibly boring and the writing made me cringe. However, i do think hats off to her, she has made a fortune out of this. I was also disturbed to hear this started out as twilight fan fiction, I suspect some teenage girls have had an interesting sex ed lesson now
  10. Oh that episode was hilarious. Amy is my favorite character
  11. Well JJ Abrams got me to like Star Trek so maybe there is hope for the new starwars films. And as much as i was disappointed by episodes I, II and III, I loved IV, V and VI so I live in hope the original magic will be created and I will go to see them. I'm not sure about a new film every couple of years though, I sense doom
  12. Most probably but when has that ever stopped hollywood. Digressing slightly, they cast Tom Cruise as Lestat in Interview with a Vampire when the character was supposed to be 20 and Brad Pitt as Louis who was supposed to be 24 at point of turning. Anyway I don't plan on seeing the film, I don't want my image of Jack tarnished by seeing Mr Cruise.
  13. Jack Reacher's D.O.B is 29th October 1960, I think it is safe to say Liam Neeson would be around the right age. I don't see Tom Cruise as high action, to be honest, i think Gerard Butler has more toughness about him than Cruise. I don't think there would ever be the perfect choice out there for an actor to play Jack Reacher, every fan has their own ideas about who would be the best choice. For me, personally, I would have liked someone who had the right attitude to make up for any thing they lacked physically, I know it would be down right impossible to find a 6ft5 actor with hands the size of small chickens, but they didn't even try to make Tom Cruise look bigger and that is one of the things that Lee Child pushes in every single book is that Jack Reacher is a Big Man, not 5ft7
  14. Liam Neeson would have been good, he has the menace about him to convince you he IS Jack Reacher...Tom Cruise is just wrong.
  15. I think for me it is The Servants of Twilight, I'm not sure what i liked about it though, it just captured me
  16. I think my favorite character has to be Lizzie, I liked the fact that she was a fiesty character
  17. I'm falling a bit behind, but i have read most of them, it is just the last 3 I have still to read, they are quite bleak...but still I find myself drawn in
  18. Alas yes, with Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher. What were they thinking????????
  19. I've not read them, but i have read snippets. What i did read, I thought was boring and very poorly written, I didn't care or feel engaged be either of the main characters, in fact I wondered how the first people to read this actually managed to get to the sex scenes to find out it was an erotic fiction novel. I then skipped to the first sex scene and about wet myself with laughter. So no i will not be reading them and I don't see what all the fuss is about, there are much better written books out there that actually have a plot, but yes, fair game to the author for making a mint out of the "frustrated housewife"
