I was kindly sent one of these books from Random House, and it's just delightful. Amy, who's 3, loves listening to the CD, and following it in the book, but I think it would also be a good book to read for a slightly older child.

There are 2 versions on the CD aswell.. one plays a tume at the end of each page, so you know when to turn over, the other one doesn't.. great as a kiddies 'audio book'.. and Tasmin Outhwaite does a good job of narrating.

The pictures are lovely too, and there's a little letter in an envelope for the child, which is a nice touch.

Has anyone else bought these for children, or know of anything similar?

Aww, that looks lovely!

Amy might also enjoy the Not Quite a Mermaid series by Linda Chapman too, although they don't come with an audio cassette, the stories are lovely and the pics are good too. I reviewed one last year and then passed it on to my young niece and she adored it.
