baby.giraffe
I am a big poetry lover however I am shamed to admit he must be the only contemporary poet I have read at any length. Does anyone else enjoy his work? His plays also include Everything Must Go & Unprotected Sex. I have the scripts but have sadly never seen them. Despite walking the length of Oxford Road in Manchester looking for the theater to buy tickets! On a side note any contemporary poetry recommendations will be gratefully received. Hmm first real post. Scary.
poppy
I just looked him up babygiraffe and discovered this one written by him which I thought very good. THE LIE I found the lie again this morning I shouldn't have looked but I'm sorry, I did went searching under beds and amongst names, it lay so still, I wasn't sure if it was still alive so I poked it, held it, almost cradled it took it outside into the bright sunlight gave it the kiss of life it grew and grew stood up once more stretched and looked at me then walked away, shouting names, dates, times, clues and crimes, I ran after it, clawing, stumbling through thicket, tried to stop it going knocked it to the floor kicked and punched it til it lay lifeless once more, I picked it up, carried it inside, as before, I hide it in a secret place closed the door swallowed the key and sat in the sun I know where the lie is now, but I can't tell anyone what I have done-
baby.giraffe
Hello. Its great you looked him up he's a total inspiration to me. I completely recommend his spoken word poetry cd. It's so powerful. Plus even more impressive when you know he overcame a very bad stammer to find his voice. I also have a collection of his work called "fuse". He he I'm a bit fanatical about him as I rarely come across people who read / know of him.
sophiagia10
My favorite book by Patrick Jones is The Tear Collector, This is a great teen book! It had a great plot, but the thing I liked most about the book was that it made me think. There was a lot of teen drama and teen issues.
