Raven Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Just seen that Vintage Classics have re-issued a number of Stella Gibbons’ novels. Having read Cold Comfort Farm a few years back, I'm please to see Conference at Cold Comfort Farm and Christmas at Cold Comfort Farm back in print again, and am interested in trying some of her other novels as well (Westwood, Starlight and a whole host of others were all released yesterday). Off to the bookshop this weekend, me thinks! Quote
Kylie Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Spooky. I was just looking up Vintage Classics myself and was delighted to see the same thing. More delighted perhaps, because I didn't even know there was a sequel! I wish Vintage would publish Cold Comfort Farm in a similar edition so I could have matching copies. They have lovely covers, don't they? Quote
ian Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Like Kylie, I had no idea there were sequels to Cold Comfort Farm. I suspect I may have to read the first again, before tackling the next two Quote
chesilbeach Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I had no idea about the sequels either! I loved Cold Comfort Farm, so I'll be interested in getting these as well. Conference at Cold Comfort Farm, Westwood and Starlight are available for Kindle now, but Christmas at Cold Comfort Farm doesn't come out until November, however, the ebook prices are £6.39 while the paperbacks are being discounted from £7.99 to £5.39 and £5.31. Not prepared to pay more for a Kindle version than a physical book, so will have to wait and see if they come down in price. Quote
