scarymary555 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Alright.....I'm lying, it's not sunny! Anyhoo a bit about me......I love reading and have done so all my life (fell in love with libraries at a young age!?). I've just treated myself to an e-reader (Sony) and although it's still very new to me I can't say it will lessen my love of books. On a personal note: I'm 55, divored, mother of two, owned by a rescue dog and two cats and work part-time. I also love cinema, wine, knitting and watching TV. That's it for now - don't want to bore you to death on my first post! Quote
chesilbeach Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Hi ScaryMary! I've got a Kindle as my main ereader, and it's definitely increased my reading (although I've always read ridiculous amounts anyway), but I find it's just too convenient to take with me and not read all the time! Quote
Zippy Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hi Scarymary, I thank you for your welcome and welcome to you. I love reading always seen with my nose in a book when I'm not working. Quote
vodkafan Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Welcome scarymary! Lots of likeminded people on here. Quote
pickle Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hi Scarymary, welcome to the BCF loads of great books recommended on here, I have a Kindle and thats my drug of choice at the moment so many books so little time Quote
scarymary555 Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 Thank you very much for your welcomes. I'm slowly finding my way around this great site and hope to join in lots of discussions along the way. I must admit to getting a lot more reading done with my e-reader than with my 'real' book at the moment! Quote
frankie Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 ^ Soon you might also find out that you are doing way more reading of the posts on this forum than actual books, whether they be 'manual' or 'digital' This is a very dangerous forum! Quote
Easy Reader Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 ^ Soon you might also find out that you are doing way more reading of the posts on this forum than actual books, whether they be 'manual' or 'digital' This is a very dangerous forum! I have purchased so many books since joining this forum its ridiculous I have no idea when I am going to get round to reading them all but there are just far too many good book reviews on here that I can't help myself. frankie Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 ^ That's definitely another dangerous feature about this forum. It's so bad it's not even funny! Quote
slimmergirl01 Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Agree with the above posters.... only joined the forum yesterday and now have a large reading list as well as lists of so many series of books I want to try :giggle2: Quote
