Inver Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Anyone seen it. Started last Sunday, but unfortunately I didn't manage to see it on Sunday or Saturday. Jason Issacs was on Breakfast this morning..... Must try to catch it on iPlayer. Quote
Kidsmum Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I haven't bothered watching it as I have the book on my TBR pile so I want to read it first Quote
pickle Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I watched it, not read any of the books but I might try to as I did enjoy it...Jason Issacs.....yum!..say no more Quote
ian Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I have been enjoying the new series on BBC Sun/Mon nights, but I can't say that I have ever heard of these books before or in fact the author (Kate Atkinson). Are they worth while reading, and if so, do they need to be read in order? Ian Quote
Inver Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 Case Histories is different from her previous books Ian. This one introduces you to the detective. I haven't read the other detective ones yet though but don't think it matters which you read. Her others are Behind the scenes at the museum Human Croquet Emotionally Weird. Enjoy if you do get around to reading any of them. Quote
Inver Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 Hoorah...finally watched first episode....mmm...Jason Issacs is a bit yummy. Quote
Roland Butter Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Kate Atkinson's most recent is Started Early, Took My Dog, which I've got staring at me from the shelf. It sounds like a good read, I just have to get round to it. Quote
Ophelia Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I think they have adapted her Jackson Brodie books for the TV and lumped them all under the title 'Case Histories'. This last week's episodes were from her novel 'When will there be good news?' Not a J Brodie book, but I can recommend 'Behind the Scenes at the Museum' by Kate Atkinson. Quote
