madcow Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Wow that's some list Nuttymum. Are the bold ones your 'On the shelf' list? Quote
nuttymum303 Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 On the shelf list? Sorry wasn't understanding that. The bold ones are the newer 1s that have been bought in past few days Quote
madcow Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Sorry about that, you mean to say they are all waiting to be read? If so that will keep you going for a while there are some good ones I'm going to have to add to my 'To Read' list. Quote
nuttymum303 Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 They are all to be read except the 1 I am reading which is Danny Wallace book Quote

everydayxangels Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 What do the colors and boldings mean. a legend would be helpful I'm assuming the unbold are wanting to be read, bold are new ones, and the red ones i'm.... lost on. Quote
everydayxangels Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 This is some list! Jane Smiley - have you read anything by her? I started to read her up coming book Ten Days in the Hills but the first fifty pages were about this elderly couple recently in love, about making a softcore porno - with details! I definitely had to take a pass. The cover was definitely beautiful and made me curious. On Beauty by Zadie Smith - I've heard mixed reviews, and the bold cover made me grab it, and I started to read it, but it was just so bland, and the plot really wasn't going anywhere, so I had to drop it. I've heard White Teeth was very good, haven't read it myself though. Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom - I have been wanting to read this book for a long time! And especially so after reading For One More Day. He is a FANTASTIC author, no doubt. Lucky and The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold - Both were very good, however, i personally felt that Lucky was plenty better. There are some parts that are very tough to get through, but a good read, and i feel, better than The Lovely Bones. Quote
nuttymum303 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Posted January 10, 2007 Red are the more recent books. I have plenty of room for the books once I get the bookcases lol. Not read anything by Jane Smiley, which is weird as I haven't read much by any of the book authors neither. Quote
