Tom Clancy or Michael Crichton

I'm looking for my next literary fix and was hoping someone could recommend a book along the lines of a Michael Crichton or Tom Clancy novel.

Clive Cussler? It's been a while since I read either Clancy or Crichton, but I think his books are in a similar mould (action/adventure with a high-concept theme).

Tis good stuff, and I hear BBC America (if you get it) are showing the Christmas episode on Christmas Day.

My family likes Dr. Who so much that I added a digital tier to our cable just so we could get BBCA and watch The Doctor, he's awesome!

Out of the two authors I've only read Clancy's Rainbow 6. I would recommend reading it if you haven't already.

 

The Apocalypse Watch by Robert Ludlum was a good read as well. Same author as the Bourne series. Excellent thriller.
