silverfaerychild
I heard from a friend about a book he can't remember the name but on the cover has a son holding a white misty orb that has his fathers soul inside it . and also the plot of what he can remember is that the son is a warlock as was his father ( if I remember rightly ) and in order for the son to save his father he has to use his own body or soul to save his father.. anyone know of it or know the title? he said it was from 1976 of the such

Raven
Doesn't even ring a vague bell I'm afraid, I must be too young*. *It's not often I get to say that these days . . .
BigWords
More details please. The cover doesn't strike an immediate chord, though reissues wouldn't carry the same cover. It sounds vaguely like a couple of mid-80s films, so I'm wondering if it was either adapted from, or adapted to, a novel...

silverfaerychild
turns out I was wrong about the son being a warlock , its the father who is a warlock but the son has magical powers but not a warlock...
