Some great books there. :) What did you think of Delta of Venus?

Thanks!

Hmmm...well the Delta of Venus wasn't really what I was expecting. I do like to read a bit of erotica now and then, as long as it's tasteful, but at the same time warm, sexy and sensual. While Anais wasn't vulgar, I did think her tone was a little cold throughout and there were a couple of themes I found pretty disturbing to be honest, which kind of spoilt it (for me anyway). If you've read it, you'll know which ones I mean heheh .

Anywhoo, those themes where the ones that stayed in my mind after I finished the book which is a shame, but maybe that's just me being oversensitve!

Thanks :D

Yeah I was watching the documentary on BBC4 not long ago and I've been trying to hunt it down at the library, but it's always being loaned out non-stop! I'll have to buy a copy as it seems to be an enduring classic to keep and read over and over anyway

Hehe I definitely want to see the film, but I always like to read the books first before the adaptations for some reason. :D

Me too, usually. But with the Virgin Suicides I actually saw the movie first, which only happens if I really don't know that there's a book.
