Ever tried food after reading about it in a novel?

Reading about scones in a novel when I was a teen was my first introduction to them. :) I lived in a town without fancy coffee shops or pastry shops (aside from Dunkin' Doughnuts... but that doesn't count). I loved them! Think I'll actually make a batch of apple scones with some cinnamon butter to take into work this weekend, now. :D

While on vacation last week we had scones almost every morning....blueberry scones and cranberry scones. (we had to have cranberry since the Cranberry islands were not far off-shore from us) They were delicious along with coffee and tea made in a Keurig machine.

I would walk every morning to the bakery and buy the fresh scones and take back to the hotel. :)
