Michelle Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 I recall reading some of his books in my teens, but can't remember too much. I do recall some quite strange storlines though. I recently picked up The Blackstone Chronicles in a charity shop, and I really enjoyed it. Ok, so it's a fairly standard horror, and doesn't tax the brain too much.. but was still good. Has anyone else read John Saul? Quote
Gaia Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I've read a few books by him. Can't overally remember the names though :? I like him. Though the last book i read by him wasn't as good as his others. I think it was a newer book though. I will have to go to the library and look up some more of this older stuff. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 My mum got me into John Saul when I was around 15. It's been a while since I read anything of his, but I do remember Suffer the Children , Cry for the Strangers and Nathaniel ( which I picked up recently ). I don't think he's a bad writer at all, Nathaniel was creepy, even though I'd read it before, I'm sure I'll read it again! Quote
Michelle Posted January 6, 2006 Author Posted January 6, 2006 My mum and I read loads of John Saul when I was also a teenager. He is a good author, but I think we overdosed a bit, and went off him! Quote
chiral Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I read quite a few of John Saul's books in the dim and distant past, not recently though. I've read the ones Tracey mentioned. I quite enjoyed them at the time. Quote
