I read this as a child and still remember how much I enjoyed it, it was the first SciFi book I ever read. I've been meaning to read it again to see if I enjoyed it as much as an adult ....looks like it's worth it Echo

Actually, there are five. I had only thought there were three or so. Just finished the second, A Wind in the Door, and can heartily recommend it. Enjoy!
