arewenearlythere Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 An author's journey into writing can be just as creative and unique as books themselves, so I thought I'd start a new topic dedicated toward our favourite authors and their journey into authorhood. How has each authors life journey influenced their writing, stories etc. To get the ball rolling I can just imagine that Chuck Palahniuk (a late bloomer) probably had a lot to work off with his rich life experience. From wikipedia: "Later, he also volunteered at a hospice as an escort; he provided transportation for terminally ill people and brought them to support group meetings. He ceased volunteering upon the death of a patient to whom he had grown attached" ~ a sad story but I bet it helped get the juices flowing for Chuck's first novel Fight Club.
