Coffin Nail Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Whilst awaiting the muse yesterday, I came up with the story idea that couldn't work even though it would be a joy to write and to watch. But alas I think, totally unworkable.....the logistics alone are enough to make my eyeballs go bang. The ultimate crime drama. Ian Rankin is found dead on a hook in Flesh Market Close...Rebus turns up to investigate. Lynda La Plante found floating in the sea in same manner as in Red Dahlia...James Langden's team investigates. Stuart Macbride is found the freezer...DS Mcrae works on the case....etc. Dr Tony Hill working with Rebus. Could it really be possible that the novelists who created these characters would allow someone else to use them, or could they all work together in an ensemble piece? Somehow I doubt it. So I suppose what I'm asking is what's your impossible dream novel? Quote
vinay87 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 A rewrite of LOTR where Sauron actually shows up (Even though he's apparently banged up pretty bad) Quote
