Beccles
Just read a very moving and often black humoured book about the Blitz in London on 10th and 11th May 1941. Stories of how when Spitfire pilots shot down a German bomber that when he buzzed the fallen crew gave him the V sign so he rounded back and strafed them with gunfire and "blew them to bits" The woman who was blown into a house wall and other nasties. In the aftermath the middle classes came to "Rubber neck" and the looting that night was terrible. It was un-put downable
