Ok so I was originally not going to do a new one for 2010 as I was quite happy plodding along with my last one, but after seeing people with their nice new ones and looking at their TBR piles I decided that I wanted to organise my TBR pile too so HERE WE ARE.

I am not super organised so feel free to post straight after this if you want (thats if my thread does not bore you :D) I don't mind.

This is my TBR pile that is on the top of my stairs. I do have other books floating around that if I do find I will add. Any books that I add along the way will be in a different colour just to see how many I actually buy this year.

Stuart Macbride is one of my favourite authors - I LOVE the Logan McRae series.

He is one of those authors who I constantly hear about so I have to read.

As for the Montanari. I have read the Rosary girls when it first came out, but I want to reread it before reading the rest.

Awe mate, I hate it too. especailly when I get a book for a bargain and I am dying to read it, and then found out I have five to read before. I was like that with the Kerley books.

He is fantastic, gruesome, gritty, Scottish crime. Good stuff! I started reading them after reading Kell's reviews, that girl has good taste! :D

It sucks doesn't it. I will finish it though and just hope it doesn't give away anything regarding the previous. I suppose I should go and do some research now , better late than never!

I will be honest I would never have known if not for the fact that my copy of Deviant Ways is a first edition and got it years and years and years ago. I actually did not realise it was him when I first got it out from my MUm's loft last year.

Is that all you have to read CW? Oh, I had no idea you were so book starved. :D

We'll have to start a fund to help you out! You have a few good 'uns on your list, and we will want reviews for each and every one of them!

Thanks Chrissy :D

Some of the Deavers are Re reads as I never knew about the Bone collector and because some of the ones I have read are like in between the series, so I thought hell I will read them from the beginning so I have been looking out for them in Charity shops. As for the Cornwell, nope not read any of them I was a late starter on the Cornwell front. I think because I don't live near a book shop and my only way of looking at books is the library which is really small and I get mostof my books from their via reserving online now or when I go to the charity shops and then you get more older books, I tend to not keep up with the more popular authors.

Well who could?? Apparently one's not even meant to resist them, that's what I hear.

Wow that was cheap. I'm adding that book to my wishlist :D By the way, I've ordered Helter Skelter, it's a true crime book on Manson, I can't wait to get to it. You might enjoy it as well. And also have I already recommended Ann Rule's The Stranger Beside Me? It's about Ted Bundy. Rule used to work with him as a matter a fact, they volunteered at this Crisis center phoneline. The book's amazing!

Nope never read Potter, never wanted to, and to be honest I still don't but my son loves the movies, so I am going to read them to him.

Awwww  I do hope you start liking them, no matter how involuntarily :D

I hve read Helter Skelter for me one of the best True crime books around. Ooh I will be looking into that book sounds good. Ted bundy is a fascinating individual.

Well my son has begged and pleaded for me to read them, so I will. He has the whole set in a really nice set that I can only decide is a Wizards chest with some symbol on it. He got it from his Godparent as a special present when we went and visited him in the Summer. But he does not want me to read them, so I have to collect the set from a charity shop. My brother does aparently have them (Probably collecting dust; as he never reads :D) so I could get the later ones of him.

I'll be interested in your thoughts on this, Frankie. The Manson murders have always fascinated me, not least because The Beatles have a bit of a connection to them.

Wasn't there a film called Helter Skelter as well?

Yeah there have been a couple movies one in the seventies and one a few years back I think. It seems to fascinate so many people.

If you like True Crime books then it is one that I would recommend. Also I would recommend the book Insanity; my life by Charles Bronson. I found it fascinating a real good look into his mind, with some pictures of his infamous drawings.

I certainly do like a good True Crime book, thanks CW for this recommendation, I'm adding that to my wishlist as well  I've also borrowed Green River, Running Red from a friend, any chance you've read it? I haven't yet but I expect it to be a good one.

Kylie oh yeah I'd almost forgotten that Manson had a bit of a thing for the Beatles! Helter Skelter was one of their songs wasn't it.

Edit: Kylie and catwoman, how about Let Me Take You Down: Inside the Mind of Mark David Chapman, the Man Who Killed John Lennon? That's on my wishlist as well.

Nope not read Green river, running red, whats it about frankie?

Nor have I read Let me take you down. I think you mentioned that one before and I put it on my wishlist.

I could be here for days with good True Crime novels. They are something I find alot of in Charity shops.

Here are a couple more.

Fred and Rose by Howard Sounes (I think thats how you spell his Surname) A real shocking acoount of what people can do.

There are actually many good ones about the Wests, I think because they are so fascinating psychologically.

Another is In the name of Satan by Wensley Clarkson (Think it is Wensley) It is about a famous murder of a school girl of elsye Pheler? I think thats her name, she was killed by a group of guys who killed her for a 'Satantic human sacrifice'. They wanted to be total legends in the metal scene. anyway they were caught, if I am right one of th boys handed himself in, and it talks about the trial and the psychological assesments of them. Also the murdered girls family tries to sue Slayer about the musica contents of their songs which was used as a way of explaining what the boys had done. A really good read, and very very fascinating..

It's about the Green River Killer aka Gary Ridgeway. Not a very familiar name, at least to me, before borrowing this book. But he killed a lot of women during the 80s and 90s. My friend's read it and he said it's good.

Ooops, I'd forgotten I'd already mentioned it

In the name of Satan by Wensley Clarkson sounds like a really interesting read, I'm going to have to add that to my list as well. I've added almost 10 books on my wishlist already this year, and we're only 5 days into the year :D
