You bought Rebecca then? :irked: I hope you like it :D

Have you read the two Jane Austen books before? Northanger Abbey is my favourite Austen, and I think Mansfield Park is her most accomplished piece of writing.

Did you make it your mission in April to buy every book Dickens ever wrote? I love your catchy monthly headings.

We share a lot of books in common and our ratings are very similar too. Needless to say, I think you have wonderful taste in books. :tong:

My creativity wouldn't have lasted until June so I think you're doing great!

The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favourite ever books. It took me ages to read but it was so worth it. It has absolutely everything you could ever want in a book. I reckon you'll love it too.

Have you read The Three Musketeers? It's on my TBR pile.

Of course Mexicola has excellent taste, I could've told you that! As do you, Kylie, and anyone who shares a 'fave' status of the Count! :tong:

I hope you're enjoying so far, Mexicola!!

I couldn't ask for better recommendations for the book, thanks guys! :) I've only read a few pages so far but due to an impromptu night in on my lonesome, I plan to get stuck in tonight :) I've not read Three Musketeers yet but I'm sure it'll work it's way onto my TBR pretty soon!

Hope you're both well and enjoying your current reads ;)

Wonderful, Mexicola!! :D I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I loved reading about Longfellow as well, and really like that time period in history and the setting in Cambridge. When I took my trip out there a few years ago we visited his 'Craigie House' and it was so magical! I know it was fiction, but I could just see he and Holmes and Lowell sitting around the fire :D. I also went to Mt. Auburn cemetery and visited all of their graves, which was so interesting.

How cool is that?! Mt Auburn cemetery looks beautiful.

I'm on my way to finishing Monte Cristo, and what can I say other than it's astoundingly aaaaamazing! When I visit Paris next month, I'm going to try and visit some of the places mentioned like the Count's address on the Champs Elysees etc :smile2:

I finished it today :D I'm not sure what I can say about it other than it has become an instant favourite and that I think it'll stay with me for a very long time! Although I do hope to read it again one day :D

I'm SOOO happy you liked the Count, Mexicola, and that you now count it as one of your faves! :D Yay!!!

It's up there for me, as well. But don't get me started on Mr Dumas's name...doh.gif Good work, Mexicola. Good work. x
