Stephanie2008 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 The page 3 girl doesn't really care about global warming then? Quote
Nicola Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 The page 3 girl doesn't really care about global warming then? I reckon that The Sun have more than likely made the whole thing up. I don't buy newspapers anymore after my work place was slated in the Daily Mail and everything they printed was totally incorrect. It's crazy that they're allowed to print lies but there you go The last I heard, Joe was in the lead by 9,000 copies but my BF reckons that RATM sales have rocketed again so it's going to be a close one. Eeeeeeek! Quote
Mexicola Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 RATM will be doing a free victory gig in the UK next year if they make Christmas number one: http://www.nme.com/news/rage-against-the-machine/48961 Quote
Mexicola Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 It's looking promising... http://www.nme.com/news/rage-against-the-machine/48970 Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Rage won Awesome news! Killing In The Name christmas chart No.1 2009 hahaha! Quote
catwoman Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Rage won Awesome news! Killing In The Name christmas chart No.1 2009 hahaha! They did it???? No way!!!! Well I liked the song better than Joe's so that is fantastic!!! Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 It's great! I didn't realise the X Factor guy covered a Miley Cyrus song either :S Quote
rach.at.the.disco Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Oh no what a shame we all didn't want the X Factor winner to be Number One. Boo hoo. I really hope Cheryl Cole cried when she found out . Fantastic news. Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Haha i wonder if Simon Cowell will look even more miserable than normal (is that humanly possible?). I know he gets money from both, but it's still funny Quote
ned Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 I can't wait to see him on the news, see what excuses he comes up with. Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I imagine he looks a bit like this Quote
ned Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 The promotion for the winner next year will be twice as bad, they'll be getting put onto every show going. What makes it worse for Simon is that he was beaten by a download only song haha Quote
Mexicola Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Victory! This has made me very happy. Quote
Kate Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Victory! This has made me very happy. Ditto! Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Was anyone else insulted by Cowell's comment that it was a campaign backed by 'musical snobs'? Quote
ned Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Was anyone else insulted by Cowell's comment that it was a campaign backed by 'musical snobs'? What does he mean by that? Does he mean that any old s*it with a tune should get to number one as long as the singer has a nice haircut and white teeth. If that is the case then i am happy to call myself a musical snob. Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I don't know what he was getting at, but i think a lot of the people who preferred RATM to his X Factor winner didn't have a problem with the artist, it's live and let live with music, it was against him trying to run things, and the labels and trends and whatever continuously controlling the chart, not being snobbish towards someone who can obviously sing well. The fact that a song from 1992 by an artist who love to challenge things, make statements and play for themselves, got to the top, is a fantastic message to Cowell that he should stop and think about. ned Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 Hopefully this will turn into a yearly campaign, that'll put the fright into old Cowell Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I just wish it had started last year so poor Joe could get to number one :exc: I'm the only one on here that likes Joe Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Hey i have nothing against the guy, i do admire anyone who can sing and put their all into something, and hope he finds a place for himself in the music world rather than just be a gimmick for a year or two and then vanish into nothingness thanks to Cowell's mismanagement of his career! Quote
ned Posted December 20, 2009 Author Posted December 20, 2009 It's nothing against Joe, he'll probably get to number 1 next week. The whole campaign was to break the predictable joke that the christmas number one brought. Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Although even I have to admit, I would like to see Simon Cowell's face right now Quote
Rawr Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I already told you all: Quote
lexiepiper Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I just wish it had started last year so poor Joe could get to number one :exc: I'm the only one on here that likes Joe No you're not, but I figured I wouldn't say anything because everyone else likes RATM more Quote
AbielleRose Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I already told you all: Isn't that his happy face? Quote
