MorningGlory Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Hello all So what to say! Well I love reading fiction, (with the odd travelogue and non-fiction thrown in for good measure). I Quote
BigWords Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Welcome MorningGlory. Slaughterhouse Five (indeed, anything by Kurt Vonnegut) comes highly recommended. I didn't like Pride And Prejudice And Zombies as much as I thought I would - and I love the Evil Dead films - so I would say to go with whatever book grabs your attention the most. There is plenty of time to read all those books . Quote
MorningGlory Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 thanks for the welcome I have to admit the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was an off-the-wall choice for me, I couldn't resist the title!! Quote

chesilbeach Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Hello MorningGlory! I love Mary Wesley and Rohinton Mistry, and I really enjoyed Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day as well - in fact I read it in a single day! Quote
Chrissy Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Hey MorningGlory, I thought I'd give you this link to the South East'ers Social Group. Not particularly exciting, but as you're from that part of the world come along and have a look if you like! Quote

MorningGlory Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 thanks - you are a friendly bunch And thanks for the link to the southeasters - as you say not much activity but hey it's the quality that counts. As to my user name it was only afterwards I remembered Oasis (DOH). I was thinking about a packet of seeds a friend gave me, they are such a beautiful blue, and I hope to have some in the garden next year (that is if the slugs don't get them 1st) Thanks again Quote
