I found this oldy on my bookshelf this morning. Another one to add to my TBR list this winter. Anybody heard of it?

Review

Ever since Rahab the harlot provided a safe-house for those Israeli agents and Susanna's barrister confounded the randy elders, history has been a fertile field for detection. A locked-room mystery in pre-history, a sagacious magistrate in early China, a private eye in ancient Rome, Ellis Peters's witch trial, an astute cowboy on the ranges - the choice, some pulp included, is excellent.
