Peacefield Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 The Duchess, it was good. I really liked that one, Dimitra. I'm about to watch one of my faves, 'Lars and the Real Girl.'
Kylie Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I Wanna Hold Your Hand. It's an 80s flick about when The Beatles went to America to be on the Ed Sullivan show. It was fairly good.
BookJumper Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I remember loving I Wanna Hold Your Hand, howeved I did see it at least ten years ago... maybe youthful fandom made it seem better?
martymcfly3004 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Watched the last episode of Shield season 3 last night. Now have to wait until christmas for more Vic Mackey brutality as season 4 is one of my christmas presents.

BookJumper Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Rocky IV - I initially grumped at OH for putting this manly film on; by the end I was bouncing up and down and singing 'hearts on fire / strong desire...' along with the credits !
Kylie Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I'm watching Murder, My Sweet, which is the film adaptation of Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler.
Peacefield Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindGreat film Excellent, Suzanne, good choice! One of my all time faves .
Sedge Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Slipstream starring Anthony Hopkins. I'd be fascinated to hear if anybody else has seen it and what they made of it.
Mysterioso Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Just watched the last ever episode of the truly superb 'The Shield'- am now bereft...As a complete contrast and although one of my pet hates is 'Golden Age' cosy crime I've just bought 'The Mrs Bradley Mysteries' for a song. Seem to remember that this was really good with the wonderful Diana Rigg..hope it's as good as I remember! Will unleash my hidden flapper:lol:
Mexicola Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 The Departed - finally got round to watching it.
ned Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Rocky IV - I initially grumped at OH for putting this manly film on; by the end I was bouncing up and down and singing 'hearts on fire / strong desire...' along with the credits ! Nothing wrong with the Rocky films, well apart from Rocky V, but i don't even count that because it is so pants
