Hey everybody :).

I was just wondering if anybody had read these 3 books, and what they thought to them:

Not So Quiet - Helen Zenna Smith

Up The Line To Death - Ed Gardner

Accrington Pals - Peter Whelan

I have to read these 3 for my exams next year and I was just wondering if Others thought they are good?

Thanks :)

I haven't read any of those but have read a couple of Pat Barker's books and am currently reading 'Testament of Youth' by Vera Brittain, all of which I would recommend for anyone interested in the First World War

If you want a totally off the wall acount of the WW1 the no look further than 'The Good Soldier Svejk' by Hasek. It is very funny but alaso raises questions about the war and the institutions involved. Already on my reread pile as i9t is so pertinent
