Ben
Okay thanks. I'd certainly recommend His Dark Materials - Phillip Pullman which you have on TBR. One of my favourite series' of all time, nearly everyone I know has enjoyed them immensely. Also read all of The Chronicals of Narnia books you have waiting, and loved them too. So it looks like you've got some good books to read.
Kate
Labrinyth was a great book, however I did get some of the characters names mixed up!
BookJumper
My personal favourite from your list would be "Hitch-Hiker's" as it was the first cult, hip, laugh-out-loud book I ever read - I was around thirteen and had bought it on the strength of my mum's reccommendation, she was so right I went back to the shop (and when I say shop I mean second-hand-book-lined alleyway) the day after and brought volumes 2, 3 and 4 (5 hadn't been published yet). I've been re-reading them every year or so for the past decade as the humour doesn't age, it's just as laugh-out-loud funny if you know it off by heart. Hysterical stuff, Douglas Adams is a sadly missed genius.
