Ophelia Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Managed to see Rob Brydon's stand-up show on his recent tour and loved it. I've enjoyed his TV sitcoms (Marion and Geoff etc) but hadn't 'seen him as himself before and wasn't sure what to expect. I needn't have worried. Very, very funny and talented chap, in my opinion! Mac Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I love the guy. My folks went to see him host I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue on Thursday - I'm so jealous! By the way, The Secret History is one of my favourite books, you know. I think I put it on my McRecommends thread. Pip pip. Quote

I love ISIHAC, probably my favourite radio programme ever. I'm so pleased with the decision to have alternating guest hosts, and Messrs Brydon, Dee and Fry are excellent first choices. I can't wait for the new series (I think it started Mon 15th June). I always loved Rob as a guest on it, particularly his showing the others up with his singing Quote
Mac Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I also adore Jeremy Hardy. ISIHAC is also one of my favourite shows, along with The News Quiz and The Now Show. Radio 4 is brilliant. God, I'm such an old fart... Quote

I loved this book and will read it again, I'm sure. I'll have a look at your thread, Mac Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 I haven't seen any of his stand-up but have seen him guest starring on shows such as Live at the Apollo. Plus Bryn is my favourite character in Gavin and Stacey. He's a great actor and comedian Quote

Plus Bryn is my favourite character in Gavin and Stacey. He's a great actor and comedian Yes, Bryn is my favourite character in Gavin and Stacey, too. During his show he has an audience question and answer spot and someone asked him what happened on the fishing trip, as no-one seems to know. Rob doesn't know, either! Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I really want to know what happened on the fishing trip. Something concerning soup that defies gravity according to Dave. Hmm I wonder... Quote
Kimmy619 Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 The mind boggles!!! I wonder if we will ever find out?! Quote
