Dimitra
Right now I have Punk:the Whole Story in the middle. I want to read:Emma, Northanger Abbey and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen, 1984 by George Orwell, Peacefulness (Galini) by Elias Venezis and Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I also have a huge album about films, but i have no idea when I'll be able to all these! Any suggestions on which I should start with? Bemii
No suggestions, but I have been wanting to read 1984 for ages now! I can't seem to find it in any charity shops around here and I don't want to buy a new one. Anyway, the only one I have read out of those is Pride and Prejudice. It's a good book, I got into it straight away. I had to read it at school though for coursework so I might read it again once exams are over. Chrissy
I have read (and thoroughly recommend) the three Phillip Pullman books. They are just wonderful. I also read 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy many years ago. If you haven't already, I would suggest reading 'The Hobbit' before the trilogy, as it gives you a great introduction into that world and an insight into the character Gollum. Dimitra
Well, I've seen the films, so I know what it is about, but I can always read Hobbit too.
Chrissy
D'oh! I completely forgot about the films. In my defence I did read the books way, way, way before the films were made! God, I feel old.
BookJumper
Don't feel old, Chrissy I read LOTR way, way before the films came out, too. Then when they did come out I went to see them 5+ times each.
