The Seduction of Water, Carol Goodman

I really enjoyed this story but have forgotten the plot!

On holiday I read:

Who's that Girl Alexander Potter - what happens when your 30 year old self meets its 20 year old version good fun, who learns from whom!

Crossed Bones Jane Johnson - great fun pirates and history really interesting

Tainted Blood Arnuldur Indriason (sp) - grim murder mystery set in Iceland (I read it all in an accent!)

Nightmare Academy Monster Revenge Dean Lorey - HP/Artemis Fowl lite OK

Savage Garden Mark Mills - murder mystery in 1940s Florence, very clever although ending was a bit of a let down

Bait Nick Brownlee - easy thriller set in Kenya, very fast moving and thrilling

The Overlook Michael Connolly - post 9/11 thriller but is the murder of a physicist all as it seems?

Now reading The Harmony Silk Factory Tash Aw, good start but read it on flight home so will need to reread as was too busy praying!

I would recommend Alexandra Potter's first two books, What's New, Pussycat? and Going La La, which are my favourite of her books. They were straight forward rom com chick-lit novels, and very entertaining. She changed publishers after her third book, and I didn't enjoy the first couple of books with her new publisher, but Me & Mr. Darcy was a lot better, and this one, Who's That Girl? was very enjoyable.

I read Attention All Shipping a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. At least I know where "Finisterre" is now! Charlie Connelly also wrote a good book on football, London Fields, about ten years ago, but sadly that's out of print now.

I look forward to your review.

And then gave up! Not in the mood.

Then gave up on Inside the Whale Jenny Rooney !

Then Life on the Refrigerator Door, which has returned my reading mojo!

The Household Guide to Dying Debra Adelaide on a theme
