Janet Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Woah - that's quite tricky to read! Some good books there - I've read a fair few of them. Quote
Ben Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I'm assuming your list went wrong. Some good books on there though, fair few of them have threads on here I remember reading. Quote
Kate Posted February 7, 2009 Author Posted February 7, 2009 I'm assuming your list went wrong. Yeah - it was in a list in the reply box, but didn't come out in a list meh I dunno! Quote
Ben Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Yeah - it was in a list in the reply box, but didn't come out in a list meh I dunno! Not too sure. Quote
Janet Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 It's something to do with the colours. You have lots of books that have... [*] before and after just one book title! I tried to sort it for you but there is too much - I can't work out what to remove! Quote

Janet Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Thanks for the review of The Pilgrim's Progress. Many years ago, when I was about 9 or 10, I used to buy books from our little corner shop (I lived in a small village and it was the only place to buy books!) and I bought The Land of Far Beyond by Enid Blyton, which I loved. This book is very loosely based on The Pilgrim's Progress. A couple of years ago I found it again in a charity shop but haven't quite got round to re-reading it. It was always my intention to try Bunyan's book afterwards, but I've decided after reading your review that 'life's too short', so I think I'll give it a miss. Quote
Kate Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 I would say if you want to read the Christian message in a book, read The Shack. Finished Reading: Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett Rating: 8/10 Review No. Read in 2009: 19 TBR Pile: 67 Quote
Janet Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Thanks Kate, but I read The Shack last year - and found it to be unbelievably preachy and definitely not for me. Quote
