Kylie
Wow, you're doing well, Lopeanha! What did you think of Bryson's Down Under? Is it accurate? And I'm also interested in your views on Winter by John Marsden. I'm a big Marsden fan but haven't read this book.
lopeanha
Winter was ok, it had a twist I didn't expect but otherwise quite boring. My favourite is So much to tell you! Down Under was funny and informative. I like Bill Bryson's books, he writes so entertaining! I thought it was the perfect book to start my traveling year. Kylie
I would very highly recommend Marsden's Tomorrow, When the War Began series, followed by the Ellie Chronicles. There are 10 books in all and they're all terrific, in my opinion. I've re-read them many times
lopeanha
I'm totally into Roald Dahl right now!! Never read any of his books before and now, once I started, I can't get enough
Chimera
oh, enjoy! How are you finding Matilda? It was my favorite *grins*
lopeanha
Matilda was great! But I saw the movie before so I missed a few things that happen in the movie. That's why you should always read the book first and then watch the movie..
lopeanha
You guys should definately read Kai Meyer (german author) books, there are a few available in english. He's just a great writer!
lopeanha
oh my god! I can't believe it! I'm still reading "Brisingr". I'm stuck with this book for 4 weeks now, at least. There are still 150 pages left and it's driving me insane.
