Michelle Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 I'm so excited about it coming back - every episode looks fantastic! Quote
chesilbeach Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Disappointed. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid. Quote
Michelle Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 My head was spinning, but most of it makes sense. Claire, you may prefer next year's, as Moffat has said he's going back to single stories, instead of a big arc. Quote
chesilbeach Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Has he? Thank goodness for that. More importantly though, can he make it funny next year? That's what I'm missing most. Quote
Ben Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'm loving the massive story arc thing to be honest, and after watching again last episode makes a bit more sense now at least. Quote
dawnbirduk Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Well I guess last night left me confused.com, Mel and River are the same person, River is Amy and Rorys daughter but older than they are, hey this is Dr Who anything goes. However my granddaughter Sophie had fishfingers and custard for lunch yes honestly Quote
lauraloves Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I love love love this big arch storyline! it is quite confusing but its so good working it all out! Actually can't wait for more episodes! Quote
Nollaig Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I have to say I was very disappointed. Had some funny moments, and some good moments, but for the most part, just pure silliness in my opinion! I never even bothered watching the last episode before the break, the whole River/Melody Pond thing is just too far over the top for me. Next week's look like it could be fun though. Quote
pickle Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I have to admit I have found the whole over arcing story a trifle over done and overly complicated its supposed to be a programme geared towards children but its been dragged out far to much, there is not enough scary in it IMO and thats what the kids love. I am pleased they are going to go back to a single story episode next year but fear they may have lost a few ardent fans especially with a big break in the middle. Quote
Karsa Orlong Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 RIP Mary Tamm - 62 is no age http://www.bbc.co.uk...t-arts-18995370 Quote
vodkafan Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Sad to say I don't really remember her, those particular storylines I didn't watch for some reason, although Tom Baker was my favourite Doctor. You are right though 62 is not very old, hope she packed a lot in. Quote
Raven Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 RIP Mary Tamm - 62 is no age http://www.bbc.co.uk...t-arts-18995370 It's not been a good spell for Doctor Who assistants; she's the second to go in just over a month (what with Caroline John passing away last month). Quote
