Michelle Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Bethany has been jumping up the reading levels at school, and she's now at the top. She's a 'free reader', which means she can just go and choose what she wants, when she wants.. and only 2 other people in her year have reached that point. It's obviously encouraged her, because she's starting to read even more at home too. Quote
Mamacita Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Good for Beth! Pretty soon she'll be writing reviews! Quote
Kell Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Excellent news - well done Beth! I hope she's getting lots of gold stars for being so clever! Quote
Maureen Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 That's excellent news Micha. Another few years and she can join in here!!! Wish K loves reading as well, although he has improved quite a bit. Actually he reads better in English than he does in Maltese, but he has to be in the mood for both. Quote
Michelle Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 Good for Beth! Pretty soon she'll be writing reviews! Funny you should say that Cindy - she went to the library today and we chose some 'older' books for her, including The Secret Seven and a Jacqueline Wilson one. When we came home we were discussing reviews, and she now has 'Bethany's Book of Reviews', and she's done her first one. Quote
Kell Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Well done Bethany! Keep up the good work - I look forward to reading her reviews on here one day... Quote
Michelle Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 It's probably a passing phase, but it does make her think about what she's just read. Quote
Maureen Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Once you're hooked....there's no known cure! Quote
