grabit
classics.... I do remember a time when the classics appealed to me, a time when I had not read very many at all.. but now? i am finding it very hard to get into Persuasion for the discussion group here, even though I know I have read this a long long time ago.. I have caught myself wondering if watching the movie might have a better chance of holding my interest...
Booknutt
What about trying classic children's books for an easier "read"? "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell "The Secret Garden" Frances Hodgson Burnett "Swallows & Amazons" Arthur Ransom (well ...it's old enough!) "The Wind in the Willows" Kenneth Grahame (a beautiful story) "Treasure Island" R. L. Stevenson Try asking your grandparents (or even your parents) what their favourite books were, as kids.
