Nightwish
The Book Thief I am really worried about. The book is amazing, and fills you up with such strong emotions. I am afraid the film might just ruin it, like with The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. The best film I have ever seen is Stardust. I found the book to be really well written but the story was disappointing, and found that even though the film changed a lot of scenes it was done for the best. Amazing film
BookJumper
Neil Gaiman did write all the extra scenes for the "Stardust" movie so it's no wonder they're so good... I remember re-reading the book post-film and being vaguely dissappointed that the pirate captain in the book was no deNiro! However, the book does have the odd but ubercute floppy-eared creature so it's a tough call.
kala_way
http://www.mysisterskeepermovie.com/ Here's the trailer for the movie coming out soon, just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. This trailer ran before The Soloist! I think it will be one of the few that might be better as a movie than as a book. The way the book flows and the simple story I think will really lend itself to the movie format.
