Janet Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hello there (little duck?!) and welcome. You might like our featured author for March, Tess Gerritson. Also I think that Linda Fairstein, James Patterson and Lisa Gardner might be worth checking out. I haven't read them but my husband likes thrillers. Quote

Thanks Try James Lee Burke and his Dave Robicheaux series. It is a crime, detective, type of writing that centers around New orleans. The writing is superb and the stories are great Quote

Kell Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Have you tried Stuart MacBride....he was featured on here a while back. That's exactly who I was about to recommend. He has three books out so far (Cold Granite, Dying Light and Broken Skin) and all are excellent! Quote
supergran71 Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Elizabeth George, just reading one of hers for the first time. Her plot and characters have lots of depth and she weaves the story in all sorts of ways to keep you guessing. The characters seem like real people too. I shall be sorry when I finish this book Quote

I shall be sorry when I finish this book I saw an Inspector Linley thing this afternoon on TV The last book I read of hers was dreadful compared with all the others. I've still bought her latest though. Oh yes, don't forget to read them in order, probably more relevant to do so with hers than with many of the series Quote
