Philippa Gregory leaves no stone unturned on this one - it has it all - carnal lust, incest, murder, theft etc. This book was as good as when I first read it all those years ago!! Angel Posted May 11, 2006 Author Share Posted May 11, 2006 Alas, I'm afraid that for the first time for years I've given up on a book I just could not get into Rebecca's Tale. I think it's because I had such high expectations! I enjoyed Rebecca so much and see it as a true Du Maurier classic. I don't tend to go for books that build on another author's success - they rarely work.
