Reading List of Pierced Musie

Pierced Musie

Recommended Posts

I would just like to explain something first. I recently started College and one of the core subjects is Study Skills. For module 2 we have been asked to write an 800-word review on a book of our choice, which is a balance of basic plot and personal opinion. Doing this task has given me a thirst for reading and reviewing.

I tell you this because I plan on writing 400-word reviews for each book I read, just to help me incase I decide to take up English Literature in September. The book I have reviewed for class hasn’t been handed in yet so I won’t post it till it is marked. Just in case I get in to trouble

Wow that's quite a challenge you have ahead. Good luck.

You have some good books there,

The Beach by Alex Garland

Carrie by Stephen King

Short Stories by Edgar Allan Poe

Dracula by Bram Stoker

The beach is one of my all time favourites. Dracula is also great, I read it last year. A bit of a page turner. I also love Poe short stories and Carrie is on my bookshelf. I'm looking forward to reading that one myself.

  • 3 weeks later...

I recently finished reading The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I've only just got round to writing a little about it.

I struggled to read this book. I know that this book is supposed to be quite an influential piece of writing but by the end of it I felt nothing.

I found the pace of the book quite hodge podge and the language was something I just could not get on with.

I would like to see others opinions on this book.
