poppy Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Happy Valley: The Story of the English in Kenya by Nicholas Best. Gave me a little more insight into Karen Blixen (pen name Isak Dinesen) and a little about Elspeth Huxley. The murder of Josslyn Hay, the 22nd Earl of Erroll, was covered and the author's opinion that Jock Delves Broughton, who many thought was guilty, couldn't have committed the murder. 1 Quote

I have only read 10 pages and already know that I am going to love this book. 🙂 I love how the author tackles issues of trust, jealousy, and understanding in relationships. He isn't afraid to show the darker sides of love, which adds realism to the story. Quote
