Chongshipei Posted July 1, 2023 Posted July 1, 2023 I like pastiches which maintain original voice or style and looks something like what Doyle will actually write and set in the canonical universe. So no female sherlock, sherlock in mars, or things that go out of characters. Kindly recommend them here, please. Quote
dizzybee Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I remember reading ‘The Beekeeper’s Apprentice,’ by Laurie R. King, as a teenager in the county jail. It’s a Sherlock Holmes spin off with plenty of suspense and action, but I only remember a few flashes of the story after all these years. But it had left an impression on me for a long time. I kind of want to read it again and see how it might strike me as a more adult thinker. Quote

Thanks, I just found ’The God of the Hive,’ as a free audiobook with my audible subscription. It’s in the middle of the series, but it’ll be fun , I’m sure, and give me an idea of what the books are like. ☺️ 1 Quote
