plissken Posted March 8, 2023 Share Posted March 8, 2023 Hi, I love reading but have never found a book that I really treasure and want to keep returning to. I think this is because, even though I have a few books that I love, they don't contain all the elements I like. For example, I love great stories with social commentary (e.g. Great Expectations), and also ghost stories/supernatural (e.g. E.F. Benson) plus more dark material (e.g. Clive Barker), but also writing with existential complexity (e.g. Philip K Dick)....would be amazing if I could find a novel with all of these elements!! The closest I've seen (but haven't read yet) is "Cloud Atlas" (or maybe I'm wrong?).....Did anyone have a recommendations? Thanks! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
