What is your opinion after reading 120 Days of Sodom?

I did not finish this. The violence got too much for me in the end. That said, I thought that it was well written and easy to understand. Not to my personal taste, however. What do you think?

Watched the Pasolini film. If the book is like the film then it's pretty horrible.

Haven't read him. But I would highly recommend 'The Story of the Eye' by Bataille which covers similar ground.
