YA novels set in or released anywhere from the 60s to 00s?

I'm really not at all picky but I don't want anything with murder or horror. I love romance, drama, music, friendship, travel themes and am in my early 20s so nothing too immature aha thank you in advance!!

David Levithan's trilogy of books, Every Day, Another Day, and Someday are enjoyable YA books.

I have also enjoyed Jandy Nelson's books The Sky is Everywhere, and I'll Give You The Sun.

I've read a number of John Green's books, and they are rightly commended. The Fault In Our Stars, Looking For Alaska, and Paper Towns being the three of his I have read.

Maybe try some thing by Judy Blume. Her stories were written and set around the 1970s, I believe. What age range would you want as the characters are around 12 or 13.
