I wish it was set in a castle, with some action and magic (like the first book of Throne of glass). Can you think of any books to recommend? For dark fantasy I could recommend EJ Stevens' Ivy Granger series. Action, magic and the supernatural. SM Reine's urban fantasy series of books (a whole range of them) might also interest you, No castles with either series though. Good luck with finding something you'll enjoy reading.
