Inver Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 :character0104:This is a good stand-by store cupboard type tea. 3tblsp veg oil 2 cloves garlic 1 med onion chopped 1 red and 1 green pepper (diced, both optional) 1 Mattessons Smoked Pork Sausage (diced) 2-3 tsp mild chilli powder (adjust to how you like it) 1 large can chopped tomatoes 1 tsp tomato puree 1 small tin pre-cooked kidney beans drained (I use a large) 1 tsp mixed herbs, salt & pepper to season :chef:Method:chef: Heat oil and garlic in a large pan, gently cook the onions (and peppers if using) for 5 mins. Add the sausage pieces and heat for a further minute or so. Next add the chilli powder and stir well to coat meat and onions are coated. Add tomatoes, tomator puree, kidney beans and herbs. Season to taste and heat for a further 5-10 mins. Serve with rice and some crusty bread. Quote
