I am sure some of yoou out there are interested or may even own a horse and I wondered if any of you have heard of a man called Monty Roberts. He is the original "Horse Whisperer" on which the book and then the film was based. The reason I am mentioning it on this forum is because he has written loads of books on the subject of training horses and is currently in this country giving demos. I read his first book on horses a few years back and found it riveting reading it was called

I think it's funny that the great big shires are really gentle and kind, and the mini likkle shetlands are the naughty cheeky ones :lol::friends0:That's me hugging a horsey:D

Having bought The Man Who Listens to Horses in a remaindered bookshop about 10 years ago, I was so taken that I went to see him and Kelly Marks do a demonstration. I was impressed and really quite moved by how he handled the horses some of which were quite spooked at being in a large arena with lots of lights etc. I've read Shy Boy too.

Lucky you Pipistrelle, I would love to see one of his demonstrations, but sadly, he isnt doing one near me this time. I too enjoyed his book
